Making an Appointment

We understand that making the first move towards seeking counselling is a big step. We are dedicated to making sure your experience is a smooth and beneficial one. Our psychologists adhere to the highest ethical practices and will always treat you with the respect you deserve. You do not need a referral to make an appointment with a psychologist, however, there are Medicare rebates available under the Better Access initiative.

Sage Psychology Group is a Private Practice with all consultations attracting a fee for service due on the day of the consultation. Our fees range from $180 to $205 per consultation and you may be eligible for a Medicare Rebate. Reduced fees are available for pensioners and health care card holders, however, we do not offer Bulk Billing and all consultations come with an out of pocket contribution.

If you have a referral from your GP or Psychiatrist for a Mental Health Treatment Plan you will be eligible for a Medicare Rebate for up to 10 Psychology sessions per year. Medicare Rebates are $88.25 for General Psychologists and $129.55 for Clinical Psychologists.

If you have Private Health Insurance that includes extras cover for Psychology, you may be eligible for a rebate with your policy. Health Insurance providers and policies vary widely, so please check with your insurer directly for information regarding your individual cover.

If you are a new client, one of our Directors can be available to discuss your needs and suggest a good match with a psychologist from our team. We have a range of daytime and after-hours session times.
